Therefore, as well as primarily being based on personal choice, this song choice also has a social and cultural meaning. Therefore, this choice, I suppose, is also based on what the society would deem ‘trendy’. I assumed analyzing a Whitney Houston classic wouldn’t be seen as ‘acceptable’, so I went for a song that is ‘cooler’. The fact that I like this song is based on personal choice however, when trying to decide what sort of song I wanted to upload, I considered what my peers would think based on the type of music they like.
It gets me fired up for a game of basketball as well, and just generally makes me feel good. I generally listen to it when I am upset or angry and it makes me feel like I have something to live for.
